On Monday, June 21, 1999, the Tallahassee Democrat published a newspaper article entitled: “Universe is expanding rapidly, at ever increasing rate.” A scan of the article can be view below:

This discovery surprised scientists back in 1998. Being generally agnostic or atheistic, they don’t much like this. Why? Because as Stephen Hawking said, it has “religious overtones and implications.” Why? Because, as he said, the universe is confirmed to be “expanding at the critical rate.” That is, not only to continue expanding at an ever increasing rate, but at just exactly the precise rate to go on expanding forever. Titles of the Gospels — Are the divergent details in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John regarding Jesus’ trial and execution contradictions, or evidence of authenticity?

All of the gospels tell the same basic story of Jesus’ trial, execution and resurrection, but with divergent details. Are these divergent details contradictions? False Prophets and Prophecies – How to Identify Them

False Doctrines — “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. ” (1 John 4:1) Biblical ‘testing’ will help us to identify false prophets and prophecies.

The Bible tells us to discern the origin of prophecies. “Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 NIV). According to the scriptures, we should ‘test all prophets and prophecies.’ The Bible gives us all the information we need to identify false prophets and prophecies.

1. Real prophecy strengthens the church.

“Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives—especially the ability to prophesy. For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious. But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them. A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church.” (1 Corinthians 14:1-4 NLT). read more

Abortion – What Is God’s View?

The “world” has its viewpoint of things, including abortion, which is often not in harmony with God’s viewpoint (John 15:19,20; James 4:4; 1 John 5:19). Why is that?
