“We Do Not Peddle the Word of God for Profit”, or Do We?

“Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God”—2 Corinthians 2:17 NIV

Contrast the above Bible principle with the facts presented in the following article:

  1. Trump’s peddling of the Bible is probably not illegal, but it is certainly unethical. I fail to understand why Christians overwhelmingly support this man to be our next president.

    1. A good example for us today is the early Christians, who were said to “all act in opposition to the decrees of Caesar”. Why? They “profess allegiance to another king, named Jesus” (Acts 17:7 NLT).
God “controls the course of world events, he removes kings and sets up other kings” (Daniel 2:21 NLT).

      1. BA: A good example for us today is the early Christians, who were said to “all act in opposition to the decrees of Caesar”. Why? They “profess allegiance to another king, named Jesus” (Acts 17:7 NLT).

GW: No, the early Christians were not a good example for us today. They lived their lives based on faith, not reason, and they all believed in God and most believed that Jesus was a king. They acted on falsehoods.

BA: God “controls the course of world events, he removes kings and sets up other kings” (Daniel 2:21 NLT).

GW: False. As I have proven many times, God does not exist. Isn’t this obvious? Yes, it is, and for some reason some people continue to believe that God does exist. Why? I think that it is mostly wishful thinking and insufficient training in critical thinking.
