What is the true religion? Where is the truth?
Is there one true denomination or religion that qualifies? Or, is it something else? Let’s search and see.
THE TRUE RELIGION IS BASED ON THE BIBLE
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17) The right religion accepts the Bible, the Old and New Testaments (the 66 books from Genesis to Malachi), as the word of God.
The true religion accepts “Scripture” as “the word of God” (John 10:35 NIV; 1 Thessalonians 2:13), and does not view the Bible as a human invention or product, but as God’s revelation to humanity.
Those in the true religion, therefore, are strongly exhorted to be “accurately handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 NASB). The truth of the gospel is “the faith that was once for handed down to the holy ones” (Jude 3 NAB), in the scriptures, the Bible’s 66 inspired books, and does not need to be supplemented, or changed. Extremely serious warnings are given “if anyone who adds anything to”, or “if anyone takes anything from”, the scriptures (Revelation 22:18,19 GNB). The Bible is not to be tampered with.
“TRADITIONS” WHICH “NULLIFY THE WORD OF GOD” ARE ELIMINATED
The true religion is not built upon “human traditions” which “nullify the word of God” (Mark 7:8,13 NIV), “man-made ideas” that “cancel the word of God” (Mark 7:8,13 NLT), nor upon “false doctrines” (1 Timothy 6:3 NIV).
Any beliefs or practices that are not in the Bible, or contradict the Bible are eliminated.
BELIEFS WHICH DON’T ACCEPT JESUS’ VITAL SACRIFICE ARE ELIMINATED
“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David, this is my gospel” (2 Timothy 2:8 NIV). The true religion is based upon Jesus’ sacrificial death, not “speculations” (2 Corinthians 10:5 NASB). “God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood . . . he did it to demonstrate his righteousness . . . so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:25 NIV).
Any beliefs, religions, or practices that don’t accept or believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins are eliminated.
CONCLUSION
The one true religion is Biblical Christianity itself, and not any denomination, sect, or group.

GW1: No religion is known to be or has been proven to be true. A religion is any worldview which includes at least one belief in the supernatural, usually a belief in one or more deities. Since there is no good evidence for the existence of anything supernatural, no religion can be totally true.

GW1: The truth is in the minds of people in the rational community.

GW1: This is false. See above. Almost all the authors of the Bible ASSUME or SPECULATE that God exists. They made the error of “begging the question.” Not a single Bible author presents a proof of God’s existence. Why? Because that is impossible. God does not exist. We now know and have proven this. The gig is up! God had a good run, but we have fired him.

GW1: This is just one Bible author claiming “Have faith in what I say because everything I say is true.” The Bible cannot prove itself.

GW1: The Bible has been tampered with. Read some of the works by Bart Ehrman if you want to really understand this. And the Bible is not the word of God anyway. How would we know that a book, manuscript, or article was the word of God? It’s simple. It would be a TRANSCRIPT of a lecture by God and the transcript would be given to human persons, who wanted one, by God himself. Duh. This is obvioius.

GW1: I’m proud to be a part of a rational tradition which has nullified the Bible, the alleged word of God. The Bible cannot be, is not, and has never been the word of God. See above.

GW1: In one sense the Bible eliminates itself. Even the first verse is false: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…” No, he didn’t. Nonexistent persons can’t do anything. And God does not exist. We have the proofs!

GW1: This is pure malarkey. If God did exist, he would not arrange for the torture, murder, and atonement of his own son! This is among the top five most ridiculous ideas in the history of humankind. God would not behave unethically like that.

GW1: False. There is no good evidence that Jesus came back to life, let alone was “raised” by somebody. Even the Gospel authors do not report a single witness in the alleged tomb who DIRECTLY OBSERVED Jesus come back to life. NONE!

GW1: Nearly everything said about Jesus is speculation. Very little is known about the historical Jesus.

GW1: False. I already refuted this. See above. One person cannot pay for the sins of other persons. That violates the principle of individual accountability. God would never do that, if he did exist, and he doesn’t.

GW1: There is no true religion, period. The only way there could be a true religion is if God directly presented his worldview to all persons on the same day. And this has never happened.
GW1: I know that you do not like views which oppose your own, and so what is your occasional response? The attempt to suppress or censor. Or the slander of the messenger, i.e. me. Instead of doing either of those, reply directly to my assertions. Let’s debate them.
