How Does God View Homosexual Pride?
In the USA each year, June is celebrated as ‘Homosexual Pride’ month. This is viewed as being very progressive, and those who don’t go along with it are viewed as old-fashioned, bigoted, and hateful. How does God view homosexual pride?
GAY?
“Ye have respect for him that cometh into your gathering in gay clothing . . . ” (James 2:3 KJV KJV)
First of all we want to note why we don’t use the term “Gay” to refer to “Pride”. “Gay” is a word whose meaning was equivocated into a euphemism for homosexual. This change in common usage occurred circa 1970, with the embrace of the so-called “sexual revolution” in mainstream culture.
The issue of whether Christians can be homosexuals is hotly debated today. Those who say “No” to this question are often labeled as “narrow-minded,” “bigoted,” “homophobic,” “hateful,” “divisive,” etc.
