Famine In Sudan Illustrates Accuracy Of Bible Prophecy

Famine In Sudan Illustrates Accuracy Of Bible Prophecy

When Jesus was asked by his disciples, “When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3 ESV), he first warned them, “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, . . . ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them” (Luke 21:8 NIV). During his long response to his disciples’ question, he emphasized, “You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected” (Matthew 24:44 NLT). Since there is no way any human can figure out when Jesus will return, Jesus .said we “must be ready all the time.”. False Prophet Predicts His Death To Be At Age 120

False Prophet Predicts His Death To Be At Age 120

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." href="https://biblepic.com/53/23332.jpg">

Jesus predicted that “many false prophets will appear and deceive many people” (Matthew 24:11 NIV. News headlines frequently highlight the accuracy of Jesus’ prediction. One recent example of a false prophet doing this was made publicly on December 23, 2024.

“I have made and entered [into a] covenant with God and on December 6, 2056, I’ll see you all later. I’m out of here, 120 years old,” televangelist Kennth Copeland claimed on December 23, 2024, predicting the date of his death. This false prophet, like all false prophets, contradicts the Bible with his predictions. read more

The Sudden, Unexpected End of the World

The Sudden, Unexpected End of the World

End of the World
According to the Bible, the end of the world will come suddenly, and unexpectedly

Is it possible to know that the “end of the world” is near?

“Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming . . . ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them”—Luke 21:8 NIV

“Don’t believe them”—Luke 21:8 NLT

“Refuse to join them”—Luke 21:8 NJB

Jesus spoke about his “return” (Luke 19:12 NIV) in the Bible. Jesus knew that the exact time of “when he returns” (Matthew 24:46; Luke 12:43 NIV) would be an issue for Christians through the ages. For the last 2,000 years many predictions have been made about when Jesus would return. But they have all proven false. For example:

“We ask you, brothers, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ not be shaken out of your minds suddenly, or to be alarmed either by a ‘spirit,’ or by an oral statement, or by a letter allegedly from us to the effect that the day of the Lord is at hand”—2 Thessalonians 2:1,2 NAB read more
