IS THE TRINITY DOCTRINE TAUGHT IN JUDE?

IS THE TRINITY DOCTRINE TAUGHT IN JUDE?

The book of Jude was written by Jesus’ half brother Jude some three decades after the start of Christianity. At this stage, we would expects to find some mention of the doctrine of the Trinity, if it is true. But, just like the rest of the scriptures, there is no mention of a Trinity in Jude.

Jude 1—“To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Christ Jesus” (NIV). “God the Father” is obviously a completely separate and distinct person from “Christ Jesus”. If the Trinity doctrine were true, we would expect there to be some mention of it, or the holy Spirit (which is real), at this point, but there isn’t. read more

WAS JESUS GOD, OR GOD’S SON, IN COURT?

WAS JESUS GOD, OR GOD’S SON, IN COURT?

Like Jesus’ enemies, Trinitarians often assert that Jesus was “claiming to be God” (John 10:33 REB). However, Jesus flatly refuted that false charge by saying, “I am God’s Son” (John 10:36). Like Jesus’ enemies, once again, Trinitarians also falsely assert that Jesus “was claiming equality with God” (John 5:18 REB). Jesus flatly refuted that false charge also, by saying: “In all truth I tell you, by himself the Son can do nothing; he can do only what he sees the Father doing” (John 5:19 NJB).  read more

Does the Gospel of John Teach the Trinity Doctrine?

Does the Gospel of John Teach the Trinity Doctrine?

Revised January 9, 2023

The Bible itself is completely reliable and trustworthy (2 Timothy 3:16,17). It “actually is, the word of God” (1 Thessalonians 2:13 NIV).  However, there are some “false doctrines” (1 Timothy 1:3,4 NIV) taught by many religions, churches, and preachers as though they were “the truth” (John 17:17). We need to know whether the Trinity doctrine is one of these, or whether it is what these Bible scholars say it is:

“No doctrine is more fundamental to the Faith than the Trinity”—Dr Norman L Geisler read more

Are God, Jesus, and the holy Spirit a Trinity? – Gospel of Matthew

Are God, Jesus, and the holy Spirit a Trinity? – Gospel of Matthew

“A true and accurate knowledge of the Trinity is a blessing in and of itself . . . the Trinity is the highest revelation God has made of himself to His people. It is the capstone, the summit, the brightest star in the firmament of divine truths”—The Forgotten Trinity, page 10

“The Gospel according to Matthew . . . no other was so frequently quoted in the noncanonical literature of earliest Christianity”—Preface to Matthew in the New American Bible (NAB)

In a series of similar articles, we examine what is stated concerning God, Jesus, and the holy Spirit in the various books of the New Testament. If the Trinity doctrine is true, then the first gospel, the Gospel of Matthew, should provide numerous evidences of it. Let’s go through it and carefully examine all the pertinent evidence. read more
