Bible Knowledge Solves Trinity Enigma
There is no doubt that Almighty God, the God of the Bible exists! But what is he like? Jesus said, “God is a spirit” (John 4:24 ESV). But what exactly is the spirit called God? The Trinity doctrine is usually presented as the main explanation of God, and is widely believed to be true because it is said to be in the Bible. But, even its most scholarly adherents and proponents admit they don’t really understand it, calling it a “mystery”. Can Bible knowledge solve the Trinity mystery?
“Jesus taught us of the life of God. He said that there are three Persons in the one God and that each of these Persons are equal to the other. He also revealed the names of these three divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life.”—-AFC.org
“The mystery of the Trinity differs from other mysteries because it is not accessible to anyone except God (1 Cor. 2:11). The doctrine of the Holy Trinity states that there is One God who exists eternally as three distinct divine persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”—Reverend Friar Bonnie Nikem Anusiem, Ph.D.
“We firmly believe and confess without reservation that there is only one true God, eternal, infinite, and unchangeable, incomprehensible, almighty, and ineffable, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, three persons indeed, but one essence, substance or nature entirely simple.”—Lateran Council IV, 1215 CE
With statements like this, what is the average person, who no specialized training in the Bible, supposed to do?
“Most Christians are so intimidated by the Trinity they throw their hands up in surrender when asked to explain it.”—The Youth Pastor
“The doctrine of the Trinity is not fully comprehensible to human minds. The doctrine of the Trinity, along with the doctrine of the incarnation, is one of the great mysteries of the Christian faith. This means that it exceeds the ability of finite human minds to fully grasp.”—Ligonier Ministries, Feb. 15, 2023
“The Bible shows very clearly that there is only one God, and yet that there are three personal distinctions in His complex nature, traditionally referred to as “three Persons in the Godhead”—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is distinct from the others but never acts independently. They are one in nature and purpose.”—-Billy Graham
“This mystery is called the doctrine of the Trinity, though that term is not used in the Bible. The teaching, however, is present in seed form in the Old Testament and is revealed explicitly in the New Testament. Note passages such as Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14. Our finite minds cannot understand or explain this mystery of God, which is nevertheless a fact. We must accept the truths found in the Word of God by faith even though we ourselves cannot comprehend them fully; read Hebrews 11:1, 3, 6 and 1 Corinthians 2:5-10, 14; 13:12. It is really not surprising that the infinite God should be complex in His nature beyond the ability of finite humans to comprehend!”—Billy Graham
He claims “this mystery of God ” is “a fact”, and is in the Bible, even though, “our finite minds cannot understand or explain this mystery of God”. Surprisingly, none of the scriptures he lists as “proof” texts gives any information about this mysterious Trinity

This Trinity business is getting boring. The best interpretation is this: God (the Father), Jesus Christ (the Son), and the Holy Spirit are three different persons who work together on a team, called the Trinity, period.
