But is he “God the Son”?   A discussion with a Trinitarian about whether Jesus Christ is “God the Son” follows. “ T” stands for the Trinitarian and “BA” stands for us at Bible Authenticity.   T—The author of BA believes the Word was a created being, not a man or angel, but some being not identified.

BA—He is Biblically identified. “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God” (John 20:31 NASB).
T- We are talking about the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ. You said the Word was created by God before creation.

BA—Since the Bible says he is “the firstborn of every creature” (Col 1:15 KJV), “whose origin is from of old, from ancient days” (Micah 5:2 NRSV).

T—I say and John 1:1 says He was God, therefore not a created being.

BA—The Bible says Jesus is “the only begotten God was is in the bosom of his Father”, but is not the “God” that “no one has seen” (John 1:T18 NASB). Being “begotten” means his life had a beginning, therefore he was created. read more

I’m out of here, 120 years old,” televangelist Kennth Copeland claimed on December 23, 2024, predicting the date of his death. Some atheists deny the universe had a beginning, and want to believe it has existed from eternity. However, more and more evidence is coming to light revealing how the universe was formed, such as the newly discovered Firefly Sparkle galaxy, by the James Webb Space Telescope. Of course, Bible believers have known all along the universe has not been eternal, because , “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

Scientists do not understand  the accelerating expansion of the universe based on the their current models, but God does!

“He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in” —Isaiah 40:22 NIV

Who is “the angel of the LORD”?

“Some say the Angel of the LORD in the Hebrew Scriptures is no different from other angels. But He is far different. In fact, He is God Himself.”—-Trinitarian Website

It is boldly claimed by many that Jesus Christ is Almighty God. However, it is very awkward for these folks to support their belief that Jesus is eternally co-equal and co-eternal with Almighty God the Father, and yet he’s never mentioned in the Old Testament (OT), but the holy Spirit is. When we read the New Testament, however, we cannot miss the active role that Jesus plays as Savior and Head of the Church. To support their eternal Triune God dogma, they have concocted the unscriptural idea that Jesus,, was “the angel of the LORD”, who is mentioned a number of times in the OT.

DISCUSSION ABOUT “THE ANGEL OF THE LORD”

T—Most of the Christophanies in the Old Testament are accomplished by the entity called “the Angel of the Lord.”

BA—There are no “Christophanies” in the OT. Not a single scripture supports such a thing.“And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior” (2 Timothy 2:10 NIV). Jesus was alive all during the OT, but never appeared to anyone on earth until the NT. read more

Should we use the BCE/CE or the BC/AD dating system? There are many Christians who perceive the BCE/CE dating system to be an affront to Christianity. They see the system as an attempt to eliminate “Christ” from the calendar, just as many reject the expression “x-mas” for removing “Christ” from Christmas. Some simply appeal to arguments of tradition and familiarity with the system. For these reasons, they insist on using the BC/AD dating system.

Why do we use BCE and CE at this website rather than BC and AD? First of all, just to clarify, we want to say that we, at this website, are not in any way promoting the ungodly secularism of the world. The theory of macro-evolution presents the idea that life gradually developed from non-life as a single-celled organism, and from this over many millions of years evolutionary changes took place and many types of creatures came into being, with the final result being that humans developed from ape-like creatures. One of these that is thought to be closest to humans are called “Neanderthals”. Theories about exactly who these Neanderthals are have undergone many changes over the last 150 years.
