IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE OF A TRINITY IN REVELATION 17-22?

IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE OF A TRINITY IN REVELATION 17-22?

Let’s look at the evidence to see if the Trinity doctrine is in Revelation chapters 17-22. The word “trinity” is never mentioned, just as it is never mentioned anywhere else in the Bible, and God, Jesus, and the holy Spirit are never mentioned in the same verse or even in the same context, in these chapters. So, let’s examine the evidence that we do find in these chapters, and see where it leads us!

“The Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings”—Revelation 17:14 NIV . Trinitarians claim that Jesus’ titles here, “Lord of lords and King of kings,” mean that he is Almighty God, because Almighty God also has these same titles. However, their claim is undercut by scriptural evidence from Ezra 7:12 where “Artaxerxes” is identified as “king of kings” (NIV), and by Daniel 2:37 where “Nebuchadnezzar” (Daniel 2:1),is also identified as “the king of kings” (NIV). Even more powerfully, “the Lamb”, who is Jesus Christ, is identified as “the Lord of lords and King of kings”(NIV). The “Lamb” was “slain” (Revelation 5:6 NIV), and Jesus said he “was dead” (Revelation 1:18 NIV). Since the Scriptures tell us that “God . . . will never die” (Habakkuk 1:12 NIV), Jesus Christ cannot be Almighty God! read more

ARE ALMIGHTY GOD & JESUS PART OF A TRINITY IN REVELATION 11-16?

ARE ALMIGHTY GOD & JESUS PART OF A TRINITY IN REVELATION 11-16?

When we carefully examine what the scriptures have to tell us about this issue, the truth becomes vey clear that the Trinity doctrine is not found in the scriptures, not in Revelation chapters 11-16, nor in any other part of the Bible.

“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever . . . We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun to reign”—Revelation 11:15,17 NIV read more

ARE THE SOVEREIGN LORD AND THE LAMB PART OF A TRINITY?–REVELATION 6-7

ARE THE SOVEREIGN LORD AND THE LAMB PART OF A TRINITY?–REVELATION 6-7

Revelation and the gospel of John are two of the most devastating books in the Bible to the false doctrine of the Trinity. Notice who allegorical Christians who have been executed for their faith are said to pray to:

“How long, Sovereign Lord . . . “—Revelation 6:10 NIV

They pray to “the Sovereign Lord,” not to “the Lamb,” Jesus Christ, nor to the Holy Spirit.

“Fall over us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day of their wrath has come”—Revelation 6:16,17 NIV read more

“THE SACRIFICE OF THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST”

“THE SACRIFICE OF THE BODY OF JESUS CHRIST”

Different resurrection appearances
Was Jesus’ body resurrected? What about the sacrifice of Jesus’ body?

We hear much about “the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ,” but very little about the sacrifice of Jesus’ body. Why? Out of 31,000 verses in the Bible, not one of them mentions a resurrection of Jesus’ body. But, how about the sacrifice of Jesus’ body?

“We have been made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time”—Hebrews 10:10 NIV

Most Christian churches and preachers claim that Jesus’ physical body was resurrected. However, the Bible, as we can see above, says that Jesus’ body was sacrificed. What does that mean? read more

Is the Universe Only Six Thousand Years Old?

Is the Universe Only Six Thousand Years Old?

Expanding universe
If the universe is expanding, it had a beginning. Is it only six thousand years old?

Is the universe only six thousand years old?

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”—Genesis 1:1

Modern astronomical science now agrees with the Bible that the universe had a beginning. Many people, including those who believe in Young Earth Creationism (YEC), think that the entire universe, including the earth, was created in six literal 24 hour days 6,000 years ago. This idea is in conflict with astronomical science, which has proven the universe is about 13.7 billion years old. Two lines of evidence for this are the number of light years away the farthest galaxies are from us, and the second is the Cosmic Background Radiation. Astronomers and scientists are forced to accept this fact, even though they are uncomfortable with the Biblical implications. read more

IS THERE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE GOD’S EXISTENCE?

IS THERE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO PROVE GOD’S EXISTENCE?

Is there enough evidence to prove God’s existence? Atheists say, “No!”

“Since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse”—Romans 1:20 NIV

BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY REQUIRES LESS FAITH TO BELIEVE IN THAN ATHEISM

While Christians are often derided for their seemingly “blind faith” in the Creator/God’s existence, the facts give powerful evidence the Biblical Creator/God is real.  read more

HOSEA’S USE OF GENESIS THROUGH JUDGES

HOSEA’S USE OF GENESIS THROUGH JUDGES

When was Genesis through Judges written? What is significant about Hosea’s use of Genesis through Judges?

Is the Bible reliable?
What about Hosea’s use of Genesis through Judges?

“The word of the LORD that came to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the reign of Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel”—Hosea 1:1 NIV

Jeroboam son of Jehoash of Israel reigned from 793 BCE to 753 BCE, and Hezekiah of Judah reigned from 715 BCE to 686 BCE, so Hosea’s prophetic years ran for at least for a minimum of 38 years, in the 8th century BCE, that is, from 753 BCE to 715 BCE. One thing that is significant about the Bible book bearing Hosea’s name is his use of Genesis through Judges, thus lending proof to the fact that these books had to have been written quite some time sometime prior to Hosea in the 8th century BCE. The reason that this is significant is that many “scholars” consider these books, Genesis through Judges, to be from the 6th century BCE, or even more recent. Another point of significance is that Hosea’s treatment of these Bible books shows how they were viewed through God’s interpretation of them during later Old Testament times, and also, in turn, gives us a better view of how the New Testament interprets the Old Testament. read more

EVIDENCE of GEMARIAH and JERAHMEEL DISCOVERED

EVIDENCE of GEMARIAH and JERAHMEEL DISCOVERED

Is the Bible reliable?
Can the Bible be trusted? The discoveries of the existence of Gemariah and Jerahmeel prove it can.

Critics often claim the Bible is not an accurate historical document. However, discoveries of the existence of Gemariah and Jerahmeel prove otherwise.

A clay seal impression of “Gemariah son of Shaphan the secretary”, one of “the officials” (Jeremiah 36:10-12 NIV) of King Jehoiakim was discovered in excavations of Jerusalem of 587-586 BCE destruction level. The inscription reads: “Belonging to Gemariah (son of) Shaphan”.

Researchers possess both a clay seal and a seal impression of “Jerahmeel, a son of the king” Jehoiakim (Jeremiah 36:26 NIV), which were both acquired on the antiquities market. The clay seal and the seal impression both read: “Belonging to Jerahmeel the king’s son”. read more

IS EASTER A BIBLICAL CELEBRATION?

IS EASTER A BIBLICAL CELEBRATION?

“‘This do in remembrance of me . . . This cup,’ He said, ‘is the new Covenant ratified by my blood which is to be poured out on your behalf'”—Weymouth New Testament

Jesus commanded one celebration, called “the Lord’s Supper” (1 Corinthians 11:20 NIV).

No, Easter is not a Biblical celebration. It is nowhere mentioned in the Koine’ Greek text that the New Testament was originally written in. The 17th century King James Version mistranslates the Greek word for “Passover” as “Easter” at Acts 12:4, but even the New King James Version accurately translates this Greek word as “Passover” at Acts 12:4Additionally, it is historically well documented in numerous reference works that many of the customs associated with Easter are drawn from paganism, with Christ’s name and resurrection tacked onto them. Ancient pagans often worshipped earth’s star, the sun, in various ways. Easter is built upon many such customs, as well as pagan early spring fertility rites, with modern-day sunrise services, being one result. Rabbits and eggs were often viewed as symbols of fertility by pagans. Other customs, such as Easter baskets and bonnets, and hot cross buns, had their origins in paganism. We can draw a principle to apply from something Jesus said on a different subject: “the pagan world runs after all such things” (Luke 12:30 NIV). read more

REVELATION 4-5–GOD ALMIGHTY, JESUS SUBMISSIVE, HOLY SPIRIT NOT A PERSON

REVELATION 4-5–GOD ALMIGHTY, JESUS SUBMISSIVE, HOLY SPIRIT NOT A PERSON

Trinitarians claim that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all three equals persons within a supposed “Godhead”. But, the scriptures prove otherwise.

“Instantly, I came under the Spirit’s power. I saw a throne in heaven and someone was sitting on it”—Revelation 4:2 GWT

This verse shows us that the Holy Spirit is not a person, but God’s power, as John comes under its influence. As will be shown in this vision, God is sitting on the throne.

“In front of the throne, seven lamps [“the sevenfold Spirit”–margin] were blazing. These are the seven spirits [“the sevenfold Spirit”–margin] of God”—Revelation 4:5 NIV

The NIV marginal readings, in brackets here, are very helpful in identifying “the seven spirits” as “the sevenfold Spirit”, that is, the Holy Spirit. “Sevenfold” helps us to understand that the spirit is perfectly complete, fully equipped for its work of accomplishing God’s work. However, there is no indication of personhood.

“Around the throne, there were four living creatures . . . Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty . . . ‘ Whenever the four living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne . . . the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever . . . and say: ‘You are worthy, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created'”—Revelation 4:6,8-11 NIV read more
