Personification of The Holy Spirit & Other Inanimate Things

Personification of The Holy Spirit & Other Inanimate Things

The work of the Holy Spirit – Living ...

While most of the Bible is literal, there are many figures of speech used in the scriptures. One of these is personification, which has been defined as “the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman”. The holy Spirit is sometimes described in the Bible by using personification. The personification of the holy Spirit is often misunderstood in a way that causes believers in the Trinity doctrine to believe the holy Spirit is a person, “third person of the Trinity”. Is Jesus A Creature Who Has God Over Him?

Is Jesus A Creature Who Has God Over Him?

The Trinity doctrine says that Jesus, the Son of God, is not a creature, but is Almighty God himself. However, could it possibly be true that Jesus is a creature who has God over him? If Jesus is a creature with God over him, the Trinity doctrine is proven false. The following is a discussion with a Trinitarian about these and related issues. “T” stands for Trinitarian, and “BA” stands for us at this website.

BA—Since the Bible says he is “the firstborn of every creature” (Col 1:15 KJV), “whose origin is from of old, from ancient days” (Micah 5:2 NRSV).
T – The firstborn of every creature; not the first of the creation, or the first creature God made; for all things in Colossians 1:16 are said to be created by him, and therefore he himself can never be a creature. read more

God the Son Dogma Refuted

God the Son Dogma Refuted

Jesus Letterpress - Photo, Image                       Jesus is the Son of God. But is he “God the Son”?   A discussion with a Trinitarian about whether Jesus Christ is “God the Son” follows. “ T” stands for the Trinitarian and “BA” stands for us at Bible Authenticity.   T—The author of BA believes the Word was a created being, not a man or angel, but some being not identified.

BA—He is Biblically identified. “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God” (John 20:31 NASB).
T- We are talking about the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ. You said the Word was created by God before creation.

BA—Since the Bible says he is “the firstborn of every creature” (Col 1:15 KJV), “whose origin is from of old, from ancient days” (Micah 5:2 NRSV).

T—I say and John 1:1 says He was God, therefore not a created being.

BA—The Bible says Jesus is “the only begotten God was is in the bosom of his Father”, but is not the “God” that “no one has seen” (John 1:T18 NASB). Being “begotten” means his life had a beginning, therefore he was created. read more

Famine In Sudan Illustrates Accuracy Of Bible Prophecy

Famine In Sudan Illustrates Accuracy Of Bible Prophecy

When Jesus was asked by his disciples, “When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3 ESV), he first warned them, “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, . . . ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them” (Luke 21:8 NIV). During his long response to his disciples’ question, he emphasized, “You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected” (Matthew 24:44 NLT). Since there is no way any human can figure out when Jesus will return, Jesus .said we “must be ready all the time.”. False Prophet Predicts His Death To Be At Age 120

False Prophet Predicts His Death To Be At Age 120

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." href="https://biblepic.com/53/23332.jpg">

Jesus predicted that “many false prophets will appear and deceive many people” (Matthew 24:11 NIV. News headlines frequently highlight the accuracy of Jesus’ prediction. One recent example of a false prophet doing this was made publicly on December 23, 2024.

“I have made and entered [into a] covenant with God and on December 6, 2056, I’ll see you all later. I’m out of here, 120 years old,” televangelist Kennth Copeland claimed on December 23, 2024, predicting the date of his death. This false prophet, like all false prophets, contradicts the Bible with his predictions. read more

More Evidence How Universe Formed

More Evidence How Universe Formed

Some atheists deny the universe had a beginning, and want to believe it has existed from eternity. However, more and more evidence is coming to light revealing how the universe was formed, such as the newly discovered Firefly Sparkle galaxy, by the James Webb Space Telescope. Of course, Bible believers have known all along the universe has not been eternally, because , “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

Details about this are in the following BBC article: read more

Accelerating Expansion of Universe Not Understood

Accelerating Expansion of Universe Not Understood

Scientists do not understand  the accelerating expansion of the universe based on the their current models, but God does!

“He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in” —Isaiah 40:22 NIV

The above, and other scriptures, inform us that God caused the universe to expand, to ‘stretch out’ over time.

The following article about our mysteriously accelerating universe is from Johns Hopkins University: read more

“‘The Angel of the LORD’ Isn’t An Angel, He’s Jesus”?

“‘The Angel of the LORD’ Isn’t An Angel, He’s Jesus”?

“Some say the Angel of the LORD in the Hebrew Scriptures is no different from other angels. But He is far different. In fact, He is God Himself.”—-Trinitarian Website

It is very awkward for Trinitarians to believe that Jesus is eternally co-equal and co-eternal with God, and yet he’s never mentioned in the Old Testament (OT), but the holy Spirit is. When we read the New Testament, however, we cannot miss the active role that Jesus plays as Savior and Head of the Church. To support their eternal Triune God dogma, Trinitarians have concocted the unscriptural idea that Jesus, as their “second person of the Trinity”, was “the angel of the LORD” who is mentioned a number of times in the OT.
This is the viewpoint that Trinitarians argue from, and we are defending what the scriptures actually say, in the discussion with a Trinitarian that follows. (“BA” stands for us here at this website, and “T” stands for the Trinitarian.) read more

Is Christmas A Biblical, or Christian, Celebration?

Is Christmas A Biblical, or Christian, Celebration?

Is Christmas a Biblical, or Christian, celebration? The Bible does not tell us the date of Jesus’ birth, nor does history tell us anything about exactly when Jesus was born, but it does give us some clues. We read:

“In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled. The was the first enrollment, when Quirinius was governor pf Syria. So all went o be enrolled, each to his own town. And Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. While they were there, the time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. she wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock”—Luke 2:1-8 NAB read more

Was Jesus “The Angel of The LORD” In The Old Testament?

Was Jesus “The Angel of The LORD” In The Old Testament?

The Angel of the Lord appearing to Hagar in the wilderness, as depicted by Nicolas Colombel in the mid 17th century

Sometimes Trinitarians claim that Jesus was “the Angel of the LORD” in the Old Testament. The following is an actual discussion with a Trinitarian who is very adamant about such a claim. In the quoted discussion below,”T” stands for the Trinitarian, and “BA” stands for us at this website.

T—Most of the Christophanies in the Old Testament are accomplished by the entity called “the Angel of the Lord.”

BA—There are no “Christophanies” in the OT. Not a single scripture supports such a thing.“And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior” (2 Timothy 2:10 NIV). Jesus was alive all during the OT, but never appeared to anyone on earth until the NT. read more
